Library News

1) At the end of Term 2, we hosted an afternoon tea to say thank you to our lovely library volunteers.  These students offered their time to help out on Open Night at our Book Fair and also on a daily basis with different tasks in the Library. Thank you volunteers, your help is greatly appreciated!

2) We rewarded our Best Behaved Class in Library Time for Term 2 with a fun afternoon in the Library by playing games, enjoying Makerspace and having afternoon tea. Class 2A were very deserving as they were consistently quiet and well behaved every week, setting a good example to others. Well done 2A!

3) Each term we offer a reward of a $25 Dymocks’ gift card to one of our avid readers. For every book a student borrows and reads (outside Class Library Time for Junior or any book borrowed for Senior) they place an entry into our “Dymocks’ jar”. At the end of each term one lucky reader is drawn out to receive this gift. For Term 2 our recipient was Aleeyah Hulley from Prep A. Aleeyah comes in every morning and borrows two books when accompanied by her parents.

We welcome extra reading and are happy to make exceptions to usual borrowing rules when younger students are accompanied by parents or guardians, and are reading on a nightly basis. Please see Library staff for further information.
