The final meeting between the Year 7 students and their Year 11 mentors took place under delicious circumstances last Friday, when they said their good-byes over a tasty pancakes-and-ice-cream breakfast. The younger students were presented with a card and small gift by their Senior companions – fitting reminders of the connection formed between them during the course of the year.
The Years 7/11 Mentor Program works to provide a point of contact for the Junior students as they enter the Secondary environment, helping them to integrate more smoothly into the culture of High School life.
To top it all off, the friendships forged this year will be carried into next year when they all return.
