Principal’s Briefing

Our annual Mother’s Day stall will be operating on Wednesday and Thursday this week.  The work that our P&F does in this space provides a great service for our students and the money raised assists the P&F, so this is a great project no matter how you look at it.

School Photo Day 1 ran very smoothly again this year, I would like to thank staff and students for managing what is inevitably a disruptive day so well.  The photographers always comment favourably about the behaviour of Northpine students and Thursday was no exception. Remember our family and group photos will be taken on Monday May 22. It is important that families who want sibling photos taken order these photos directly with Silver Rose before that date.

NAPLAN is on our agenda again on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday May 9 -11 and it is important to remind you that a good night’s rest and good breakfast are critical in the lead up to sitting the tests.  We want our students to be alert and thinking clearly as they complete the tests prepared for them.  Thank you for supporting your student/s as they sit these important tests.

Our Annual Open Evening Expo is happening next Wednesday 17 May.  We would love to have you join us from 4.00 to 6.30pm.  Our tuck shop will be open so why not come straight from work and have a bite to eat at school.  I am sure you will enjoy the program we have planned for you.  Please plan to stay for the mini concert from 6.00 – 6.30pm. Our students put a lot of effort into planning for their items and always enjoy performing for their parents.  If you know of a friend or neighbour who is looking for a place to educate their children why not bring them along for the evening.

Thanks for your on-going support of your College.

God bless

-Graham Baird, Principal
