Principal’s Briefing

Exams are almost over and the last few weeks of Term 2 promise to be busy as teachers mark and prepare reports so they are ready for Parent Teacher interview day which is coming up on Thursday June 22. We have set aside time from 10.00 – 12.30, 1.30 – 4.30 and 5.00 – 7.30 for interviews. Appointments will be able to be made on-line as well as through the office from Friday afternoon, 16 June. This is an important process and I urge you make the time to come and discuss your child/children’s progress with their teacher’s so that we can better work together for their academic good in the remainder of the 2017. We intend to have the reports posted into the SEQTA Parent Portal by the end of school on Friday 16 June so that you have time to read them and make your interview bookings early in the final week of school.

Our Yr 10 students will visit a work place of their choice for Work Experience next week.  I would like to thank Mr Colquhoun and his team as well as our parents and the Work Experience hosts for making the experience possible.  Our Yr 10 students have some big decisions to make later in the year and we hope that this week will give them some real experiences to assist them as them as they plan for their future.

Our Junior School students will enjoy their Inter-house Athletics Carnival this Thursday.  Parents are invited to come along and support their students as happens every year and we look forward to a fun day for all.

Thanks for reading our news and have a great week.

-Mr Graham Baird, Principal
