Principal’s Briefing

Last weekend Watson Park transformed into tent (and caravan) city, signaling that Big Camp 2017 has arrived. Big Camp is a great event and I ask you to consider attending some of the meetings if you are able. I am sure that you will receive a blessing. As you are aware, our last day of school for this term is tomorrow, Wednesday 13 September. This will allow us to accommodate the final set up for the Camp Program on Thursday and Friday.

Remember that the College Office will close at 4.00pm on Thursday 14 September and re-open for business at 8.00am on Monday 25 September.

Because of the Queen’s Birthday holiday on Monday 2 October, school for Term 4 will begin on Tuesday 3 October. Summer uniform is acceptable from the beginning of Term 4.

Last week you received an email in relation to our Confirmation of Enrolment process for 2018. Included in the email were instructions outlining the process you will need to follow to check and update your data. Please contact the office should you need assistance with this process. We would like to have all data updated by Friday 13 October. Your support in providing your up-dated information and meeting this deadline is much appreciated.

I would like to thank the ladies who gave of their time to plan and run the Father’s Day stall. I know the students enjoy buying their fathers a present and these ladies provide the perfect opportunity for this to happen. I hope all the fathers out there had a wonderful day.

Finally, I have had the first two weeks of Term approved for some Long Service Leave. I am looking forward to the break but will be back on Monday 16 October refreshed and ready for the run to the end of the year. Mr Tams has agreed to step into the role of Principal in my absence for which I am grateful.  I wish him much of God’s blessing as he takes the lead while I am away.

Thank you for your support over this busy term and I trust that the holidays allow the opportunity for some much needed rest, relaxation and family time for Northpine staff and families.

God bless

-Mr Graham Baird, Principal
