Principal’s Briefing

I trust that each of you was able to take advantage of the long weekend and enjoy some rest and relaxation.

Our annual Mother’s Day stall will be operating on Wednesday and Thursday this week. The work that our P&F does in this space provides a great service for our students and the money raised assists the P&F. This is a great project and I really appreciate the time and effort our P&F volunteers put into making it an awesome event.

Both School Photo days ran very smoothly again this year. I would like to thank staff and students for managing what is inevitably a disruptive day so well. The photographers always comment favourably about the behavior of Northpine students and this was the case again this year.

NAPLAN is on our agenda again on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday May 15 -17 and it is important to remind you that a good night’s rest and nutritious breakfast are critical in the lead up to sitting these tests. We want our students to be alert and thinking clearly as they complete the tests prepared for them.

Our Annual Open Night is happening on Wednesday 23 May. We would love to have you join us from 4.00 to 6.30 pm. Our tuck shop will be open, so why not come straight from work and have a bite to eat at school. I am sure you will enjoy the program we have planned for you. Please plan to stay for the mini concert from 6:00 – 6:30. Our students put a lot of effort into planning for their item and always enjoy performing for their parents. If you know of a friend or neighbour who is looking for a great place to educate their children why not bring them along for the evening.

I apologise that circumstances beyond our control meant that we were unable to have the log-in for the Parent Survey out to you as soon as we would have liked. A big thanks to those who have already completed the survey and I hope that many more of you will take the time to complete our survey as we would really value your thoughts and reflections as we plan for the future.

Thanks for your on-going support of your College.

God bless

-Mr Graham Baird, Principal
