Principal’s Briefing

Welcome back to Term 4, 2018.  The rain we have been receiving is really very welcome although everything is becoming quite waterlogged. Our Year 12s have a couple of weeks of school left before they sit for their final exams and then enjoy the celebrations associated with completing their schooling. No doubt they will be will looking forward to an enjoyable and relaxing time together on their camp, beginning Monday 5 November.

While this is a significant time for our Year 12 students, it is important that all our students remain focused on their studies right through to the end of the year so that they can obtain the best possible results on their final report.

By all accounts, Big Camp 2018 was a great success and I understand that there were some excellent speakers and the programs were well attended. I trust those of you who were able to attend ‘Big Camp’ enjoyed and were blessed by the experience.

Just a reminder that October 22 is a pupil free day. A number of our senior staff will be involved in panel meetings where Year 12 assessment tasks are moderated.  We will also have our 2019 preps and their parent/s visiting for an orientation day program while the remainder of our staff attend in-service programs and planning meetings.

Our Yr 6 students will be away on their camp from Wednesday 31 October through to Friday 2 November.  This is a great event for them and I know they will enjoy the activities planned for them.

Thanks for reading the newsletter.
