Principal’s Briefing

Welcome to 2017 and thank you for choosing to educate your child/children at Northpine this year.

It has been a busy start to the year but we are up and running now and things seems to be going smoothly. We have already had Parent Meetings for parents of Yr 12, 9 and 7 & 8 students and really appreciate and thank those who were able to make time to attend. We put these meetings on the calendar so that we can keep you informed about the important things that will be happening for your students in 2017 and would encourage as many of you as possible to attend our Infant School (P to 2) information night tonight, a Duke of Edinburgh meeting on Wednesday night, and our Junior School (3 – 6) Parent meeting on Thursday evening. These important meetings will be held in the Performing Arts Centre.

Our Middle/Senior Swimming Carnival is happening tomorrow at the Caboolture Aquatic Centre in Burpengary. We would value your support if you are able to join us.

It is great to have our long awaited School Crossing operational. Everything seems to be going very well in the mornings and afternoons and it certainly ensures the safety of our students on Hughes Road East, which has become a very busy road at peak times. Please be careful around peak traffic times and drive and park in the designated zones to ensure that we have an accident free 2017. I would like to thank your P&F team for their interest in safety and commend them on the communication they sent out to make sure that we all understand the procedures that are in place to ensure that drop off and pick up times are safe.

We have had a number of new staff and students join us for 2017 and I am sure that you will make them feel very welcome as they settle in for the year. Thank you for the opportunity to serve you again this year and I pray that God’s Spirit will be with us as we work together to educate the important young people we share responsibility for.

God Bless

Mr Graham Baird
