ASSA Touch Football Championships

Touch Football kicked off the 1st of 4 gala days for the year which includes all the Adventist Schools in South Queensland. Our students once again represented our school with pride and amazing sportsmanship. A few stand out players from our school included Malakai Ormond for the Junior Boys, Jayde Weir for the Junior Girls, Jasmin Edser for the Senior Girls and Boston Evans for the Senior Boys. All teams won some and lost some but our standout team was the Senior Boys who went through to the Grand Final and played a very professional Tweed Valley Adventist College, who is well renowned for their Touch Football. Scores were exchanged to 4 tries each at half time but TVAC managed to pull ahead with a win of 9 to 4. Well done to our guys who played some excellent Touch Football to be the Runner Up team on the day.

NCC MTB Mountain Bike Racing!

We had an awesome turn out on Sunday the 5th March with over 35 riders for the 1st of 4 races over the year. We are blessed to have an amazing course on the property and many riders commented that the track was so much fun to ride. The weather made for a slightly damp track creating some fun cornering but the rain held off to give riders and spectators a chance to enjoy the afternoon. Thanks again to our sponsor, 99 Bikes North Lakes, for helping out. Results on the day were:

A Grade
1st – Dean Cane

2nd – Dustin Dever

3rd – Simon Nendrick

B Grade
1st – Warren Tomich
2nd – Gary Turner
3rd – Mark Cane

C Grade
1st – Johann Maritz
2nd – Harrison Turner
3rd – Darcy Klibbe

Female

Awesome effort to all!
