  1. How did you first discover you wanted to be a teacher?

I started learning violin at age four and always enjoyed music. As I went through school, I had great music teachers who really inspired me and opened up the door to some amazing opportunities. Thanks to them, I knew from a young age that I also wanted to be a music teacher.

  1. What’s one great book or movie you’ve read or seen recently?

I watched the film, ‘We Are Marshall’ on TV the other night. Based on a true story, it was inspiring to see people rebuilding a community after a terrible tragedy.

  1. Which person, directly or indirectly, has inspired you the most?

I’d have to say my mum, for many different reasons. In terms of music, for years she would regularly sit beside me while I was doing my music practice, always encouraging me to keep going and get it right. She even took up piano lessons when I was a teenager so she could help!
