Year 5 History Excursion

There was a buzz of excitement as the Year 5 students boarded the bus for the annual excursion to the Caboolture Historical Village. We were blessed with sunshine and warmer weather this year compared to rain and wintery temperatures from past years. Students were once again able to step back in time to observe the blacksmith at work, bushrangers holding up the train, gem fossicking and learning that washing your clothes today is a lot simpler than in the past. An appreciation for new and changing technologies was also evident when students viewed the printing press, old cars and hospital equipment. The highlight of the trip was spending time together and discovering that we no longer use the cane at school.
