Surviving & Thriving – Year 9 ODE Camp

This term, students from the Year 9 Outdoor Education elective subject spent the term learning how to plan for and be self-sufficient on an overnight camp. Some of the skills they leant were: how to cook on a Trangia stove and how to set up a tent.

During Week 7, they put their new skills into practice by going on a 2-day canoeing camp to Harry’s Hut. With no power, clean water, flushing toilets or showers, students were put out of their comfort zone and learnt through experience.

Well done to these amazing students!
